An elderly statesman and former leader of a socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has expressed his support for the presidential ambition of APC’s national leader, Senator Bola Tinubu.
Fasoranti affirmed this while hosting members of the Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (SWAGA 23), who paid him a courtesy visit at his field home in Akure.
“Tinubu has everything it takes to rule Nigeria. Considering his activities and his trajectory, he deserves to be president in 2023.
May your prayers be answered. When he arrives, he will do whatever we want, ”he said.
According to the Afenifere leader, with Tinubu as president, all of Afenifere’s prayers for Nigeria will be answered, particularly on the issue of restructuring and federalism.
Earlier, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, president and coordinator of SWAGA, said that Yoruba must come together and speak with one voice, before the 2023 presidential race.
He urged the Yoruba not to divide their house before the presidential elections.
The former Minister of Public Works said that more than 50 traditional rulers in the six states of the geopolitical zone of the Southwest had been visited to receive their royal blessings.
He added that the presidency would be divided into zones to the south in 2023, which could be any zone, hence the need to quickly start the movement for the Yoruba to unite.
“Tinubu has everything it takes to rule the country, being a detribalized Nigerian who loves the masses and is blessed with enormous wisdom,” he said.
Adeyeye, however, claimed that the team was not sent by Tinubu, but decided to take office, having found the former governor of Lagos worthy of his leadership quality.
