5 foods that can help you get pregnant with twins: Studies have shown that eating specific foods on a daily basis can boost a couple’s chances of conceiving twins. These foods have been identified as having this effect.

1. Folic acid rich foods

Folic acid, which is sometimes referred to as folate, is a water-soluble vitamin that serves a variety of purposes within the body. Because it encourages healthy growth in the fetus and lowers the likelihood that the baby will be born with a deformity, this dietary supplement is advised for women who are pregnant.

The avocado, the broccoli, the brussels sprouts, the cabbage, the spinach, the legumes, the asparagus, the liver, the pasta, and the breakfast cereals are all examples of foods that contain folic acid. Folic acid has been linked, in certain research, to an increased likelihood of having twins.

It is believed that a woman’s chances of having twins are somewhat increased if she takes additional folic acid when she is attempting to become pregnant. This applies to about forty percent of women. However, it is strongly recommended that you discuss the appropriate dosage with your primary care physician.

2. Maca Root

The use of maca root, commonly known as Peruvian ginseng, has been shown to be useful in increasing fertility over the course of many years. It is believed that using this fertility medication, which also helps women’s hormones become more balanced and under control, can boost a woman’s chances of becoming pregnant with twins. You can ingest it by mixing the dried or powdered form into your smoothie, tea, or yogurt. It is also available in liquid form.

3. Yam

Yams contain a high level of both progesterone and phytoestrogens, making them a potential source of hyperovulation and an increase in the likelihood of having more than one child. When a woman releases more than one egg during the ovulation process, this condition is known as hyper ovulation.

Igbo-Ora, which is located in Oyo State in Nigeria, has been given the moniker of “Twin Capital of the World” due to the exceptionally high number of twin births that have occurred there. This comes as no surprise. According to a number of studies, the high consumption of yam in their diet was a likely factor in the occurrence of twin or multiple births, which contributed to a twin birth rate that was four times higher than the average for the entire world.

4. Dairy products

A study that was conducted in 2006 found that the likelihood of a woman having twins was increased by a factor of five if she consumed dairy products on a daily basis, such as milk, yogurt, and butter. There is a possibility that this is because of a growth protein known as insulin growth factor (IGF), which is found in cow’s milk and can also be obtained from other kinds of animal products.

It is more likely that a woman will produce more than one egg during ovulation if she consumes a greater quantity of dairy products, which in turn raises the likelihood that she may have children who are not genetically identical to each other.

5. Cassava

Like yam, the consumption of cassava has been shown to boost fertility. Because of its hyper ovulation capabilities, it also helps boost the odds of getting pregnant with twins, which is a plus. Experts believe that the natural hormones found in cassava may deceive the brain into believing that there is an inadequate amount of estrogen. This causes the brain to naturally release more of a hormone known as gonadotropin, which increases the number of eggs that are produced each month.
