First bank

First Bank of Nigeria (NAN) confirmed on Friday that Dr. Adesola Adeduntan had resumed as CEO in accordance with the directives of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

A statement from the bank’s management said that Adeduntan had been resumed on the instructions of the main bank.

“We can confirm that the bank is cooperating with the Central Bank of Nigeria and other regulators, while the Bank’s operations are not hampered or hampered in any way and are in fact running smoothly.

“We also wish to reassure the public, our esteemed clients and interested parties in the words of the Governor of the Central Bank at the conclusion of his press conference,” the statement said.

The CBN governor had said: “The CBN hereby assures depositors, creditors and other stakeholders of the bank of its commitment to ensuring the stability of the financial system.”

According to First Bank’s management, there is therefore no cause for panic among the banking public, as the actions being taken are aimed at strengthening the bank and positioning it as a giant in the banking industry. (YAYA).
