Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Federation Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami as a member of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for Initiated Presidential Power.

This is contained in a statement signed by Dr. Umar Jibrilu Gwandu, Special Assistant for Media and Public Relations at the Office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice and made available to journalists in Abuja on Friday, September 11, 2020.

According to the statement, the committee members included the Federation Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Ms. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, the Minister of Energy Saleh Mamman and the Minister of Works. and Housing. , Babatunde Fashola.

Other members of the committee were the Director General of the Nigerian Public Enterprises Bureau, Mr. Alex A. Okoh, and the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Babagana Mohammed.

Opening the Committee on Thursday, President Muhamamdu Buhari, who described the energy sector as one of the most critical components of sustainable development, expressed his commitment to improving energy delivery in the country as his enduring and defining legacy.

He said that after the Federal Executive Council Approval, the coast is now clear and the SPV has the responsibility of executing the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI), providing project management for the implementation of PPI and serving as the key manager to ensure cohesion and smooth execution. .
