A head of the Congress of All Progressives in Ogun state, Mr. ‘Tope Armstrong Akintunde has described the state’s governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun as a role model in good governance and whose main concern revolves around improving the state’s economic prosperity and lifting many residents out of poverty.
Akintunde, who is the CEO of Aerofield Homes, said he was particularly happy that in the face of the dwindling fortune from oil revenues, Governor Abiodun saw fit to build a solid economic foundation for the state through the revival of the Agro-Cargo Airport project in Iperú, as well as the massive investment in agriculture and infrastructure.
The APC chief explained that “it is a source of joy to have seen Governor Abiodun directing state affairs without the prism of vengeful or partisan politics.
“This is quite evident in the governor’s decision to complete many abandoned projects from Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s immediate past government, despite stiff opposition from the former governor to Abiodun’s emergence as state governor, as well as the revival of the Agro – Cargo Airport Project, which began in 2008 by the PDP government of Otunba Gbenga Daniel ”.
Akintunde said: “I am particularly excited about the bold step taken by Governor Abiodun to launch the long-abandoned and long-abandoned Naira Agro-Cargo airport project.”
“It is a project with enormous potential to positively redefine the socioeconomic dynamics of the state.
