The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate in ebony stateBernard Odoh, has denied giving up any other candidate.
Mr. Odoh made the clarification on Saturday in a statement signed by his Director of Media and Publicity, Charles Otu.
He was reacting to a viral text that circulated on Saturday morning that read: “BREAKING NEWS! Prof. Bernard Ifeanyi Odoh has just left Guber’s degree for ANYI CHUKS. Join the winning team. Vote PDP to make Ebonyi great.”
Odoh said that he was still in the race and would not give up any candidate.
The gubernatorial election in Ebonyi is considered a four horse race between APC, PDP, LP and APGA.

“We on the campaign council of the Grand Alliance of All Progressives, APGA gubernatorial candidate Professor Benard Odoh, also known as the Odohzia campaign council, wish to ask the citizens of Ebony and the electorates in particular that they dismiss text messages, making the rounds that our gubernatorial candidate has stepped on. separately for the candidate(s) of any other Party.

“While in a text message circulated virally by the operatives of falsehood and devious propaganda, the PDP claimed that they “stepped aside” for their own candidate, Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, some APC media thugs also claimed in viral Facebook posts last night that the APGA gubernatorial candidate was no longer in the race and now supports ‘equity’.
“We wish to dismiss these posts and messages as false and intended to mislead some uniformed voters in Ebonyi.
“Professor Benard Odoh is not only in the race but he is the leading candidate in today’s poll. Therefore, he encourages Ebonyi voters to do all they can and cast their ballots freely and in support of credible candidates for whom he stands out.
“They must also be vigilant and vigilant in protecting their votes from any form of tampering or manipulation by any party or group.”
