Four months after the Nigerian youth-organized EndSars protest, which allegedly witnessed the deaths of many at LekkiTollGate, a popular comedian, Bovi Ugboma, aka Bovi, appeared on Sunday at The Headies 2021 in a bloodstained #EndSARS outfit.
The 14th edition of the Headies Awards was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The live event, held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, featured nominees with an electrifying performance.
Delivering a silent message against police brutality, murders, mutilations, extortion, and man in humanity to man, Bovi shook a bloodstained shirt.
The shirt that has green, white, green as a color symbolizes the Nigerian flag. On the night they allegedly shot #EndSars protesters, young Nigerians flaunted a flag allegedly stained with blood.
Bovi’s action at the 2021 Headies was absolutely to convey a message of what supposedly happened that night.
Obviously the winner of the best dressed of the # 14thHeadies goes to Bovi.
