PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari currently chairs the quarterly National Security Council, NSC, at the Presidential Village, Abuja.

The president in the meeting are the secretary of government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha; The President’s Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and the Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami; and the Defense Ministers, Major General Bashir Salihi Magaji (retired).

Others are the Minister of the Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama, and the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi.

At the time of sending this report, the National Security Adviser, NSA, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd) who coordinates the meeting was yet to come.

The heads of service present are the Chief of Defense Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin; Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai; The Chief of Naval General Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe-Ibas; and the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar.

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu; The Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ahmed Rafa’i Abubakar; and the Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi are also present.
