Champions League: Mourinho under fire after RB Leipzig eliminate Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho was attacked by former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand after his team was eliminated from the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The spurs that lost the first leg of the last 16 1-0 clashes were beaten 3-0 in Germany.

Mourinho has now supervised a six-game race without triumphs in all competitions.

Speaking about BT Sport, Ferdinand explained how the Portuguese coach has damaged the confidence of his players.

"You have to build them and give them confidence. Speaking of going to a shooting without bullets: what does that do to the confidence of people like Dele, Lucas Moura?

"That hasn't happened to José. You see a hint of that in tonight's presentation," Ferdinand said.
