Coronavirus: Lagos quarantines 4 children, another 2

The Lagos state government announced Wednesday that four children from the same family and their teacher were quarantined for Coronavirus.

All five people arrived in Lagos from the United States of America (USA).

Health Commissioner Prof. Akin Abayomi made the disclosure at a press conference in Alausa, Lagos.

He added that another man from the UK was also in quarantine.

Abayomi explained that the four children and their teacher were quarantined because they had contact with a Coronavirus patient.

He said the children and the teacher were admitted to the isolation center in Yaba two days ago.

The commissioner said the first test was done on them and they tested negative.

He added that another test would be done within 48 hours for final confirmation.

Abayomi said the man from the UK would be evaluated today to determine his status.
