The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has begun mobilizing organized groups for massive action against the recent “two most painful anti-popular actions of the Congress of All Progressives, the APC-led federal government increase in electricity rates. and the fuel pump price. “
The national director of CUPP’s Human Mobilization Unit / Action Alliance, Mr. Kenneth Udeze, said they have started to reach out to key labor, civil society, political, ethnic, religious and organized groups.
Udeze said: “These patriotic efforts are aimed at convincing these organizations of the need for national civil action to protest and resist the growing anti-popular policies, especially the painful increase in the price of fuel pumps and the tariff of the electricity, along with the growing corruption and insecurity that have gripped Nigeria.
“If the consultations yield a positive result, the CUPP Human Mobilization Unit will announce a date for a civil action in collaboration with these organized groups.”
