President Muhammadu Buhari

By Ibrahim HassanWuyo

The Rev. Yunusa Sabo Nmadu Jr., the general secretary of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), said Tuesday that there was nothing new in what Bishop Kukah had said and warned against any attempt to harm him.

According to Reverend Nmadu, “I have read so many reactions to the Christmas message from our respected Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, and many of them come from Muslim and northern groups.”

He noted that “some of these uncharitable groups have even called for the arrest of our revered bishop. Arrest a man who spoke the minds of millions of Nigerians? They must be kidding. “

“There is nothing new in what Bishop Kukah said, the bishop has expressed our views and we will resist any attempt by any group or government agency to harm him. Enough of this intimidation. “

“This style of government to silence dissenting voices in the administration led by Major General Muhammadu Buhari is unacceptable and must be resisted.”

“We invite the international community and Nigerians to hold General Buhari and his government accountable in case something happens to Bishop Kukah.”

“Indeed, the nepotism under General Buhari is top-notch. This administration has a first class in nepotism and mismanagement ”.

“The federal government must take immediate action to address the concerns raised by Bishop Kukah, rather than sponsoring bogus groups to attack the revered bishop.”

“There is no denying the fact that Nigeria under General Buhari is now a center for bloodshed. Murders, banditry, kidnappings and all forms of insecurity are now the order of the day. The president must face the job he’s sworn to. Mr. President, keep your campaign promises, secure the country, and improve everyone’s life. “

“The sooner this administration takes action to address these genuine concerns and stop living in denial, the better for them and for the country.”

“This country belongs to all of us. And no section of this country should be superior to the other. We are citizens of good faith with the same rights. Enough of the mischief. We are looking, ”he said.
