BENIN CITY – EDO State Deputy Governor Comrade Philip Shaibu congratulated the Muslim Ummah of Nigeria and all Muslims in the state on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-del-Kabir, urging them to emulate the sacrificial attitude of the prophet Ibrahim by offering his son as an act of submission to Allah’s orders.

In a statement by Senior Special Assistant for Media Benjamin Atu quoted Shaibu saying that “As a nation and as a state, we need such a sacrifice for the general interest of our nation and full compliance with government policies and programs to maintain a discipline of the society “.

According to him, the Edo state government is committed to policies and programs that will foster growth, unity and progress, as well as a redesigned attitude change, saying that human responsibility is the other side of the coin of rights. humans.

He said: “Several development plans from the previous administration failed because they were conceived above people’s heads. The Obaseki administration has committed to only programs and projects that fully take into account values, skills and well-being. of all Edo residents, including Muslims of the state.

He assured them that their place of honor in government and in the state is safe and well protected under the Obaseki administration and thanked the leaders of the Muslim Community in Edo North for their continued support of the administration and for promoting peace, assuring them more government support for greater peaceful coexistence.

While praying to Allah to grant them more opportunities to witness many more celebrations, Comrade Philip Shaibu said: “Eld-Kabir is a season of sacrifices, therefore the reason for the season will not be complete without sacrificing our time, efforts and prayers for the betterment of others.

“I call on Muslims in the state to continue to support the incumbent administration and to make committed sacrifices for the political and religious stability of the state,” Comrade Shaibu said.
