Jadon Sancho, Ben Chilwell and Tammy Abraham are under investigation by the Football Association for allegedly violating coronavirus protocols while attending a party, while Raheem Sterling has been ruled out of upcoming England matches due to injury.

Borussia Dortmund star Sancho and the two Chelsea teammates are believed to have attended a surprise birthday party thrown for Abraham on the forward’s flat in London on Saturday.

Coronavirus regulations in the UK currently prohibit gatherings of more than six people in social situations, but British tabloid The Sun claims that roughly 20 people were at the party.

As a precaution, England confirmed that all three players have been instructed to delay their arrival for international service while the FA investigates.

Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden were eliminated from the team in the previous international period due to failing to comply with the coronavirus prevention measures in Iceland, when they were caught socializing with two Icelandic girls.

They were subsequently removed from the draft this time as a result of their actions, suggesting that similar action could be taken if Chilwell, Sancho and Abraham are found to be in violation of the regulations.

An apologetic Abraham is quoted by The Sun as saying: “I got home and found a little surprise meeting.

“Although I did not know this was planned, I would like to sincerely apologize for the naivety shown by the organization and attendance at this meeting.

“All I can do now is learn from it, apologize to everyone, and make sure it never happens again.”

On top of England’s troubles, the Manchester City star Sterling pulled out of the upcoming triple header that will see the Three Lions face Wales in a Friendly on Thursday, ahead of Nations League clashes with Belgium and Denmark on the 11th and October 14th.

England have not specified the injury Sterling suffered, but reports suggest it is a minor hamstring problem.

His place on the team has been taken by versatile Chelsea defender Reece James, called up for the first time.
