Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has said Edinson Cavani is “probably unhappy” with Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at the club.
Ronaldo has scored three times in two games for United since returning from Juventus this summer.
Although Berbatov is delighted to see the 36-year-old in the red jersey again, he fears that some members of the team will be “unhappy” with his arrival.
Berbatov is particularly concerned about Cavani’s prospects this season, with the Uruguayan legend naturally sliding down the pecking order and handing Ronaldo the number 7 jersey.
“It will be interesting to see how Ole keeps the other players happy. You will have to decide how you will use people like Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial.
“This is when managing a talented team becomes difficult because the players will feel so bad.
“Cavani is probably not happy. He had a great first season at United and how he fell into the hierarchy and lost his number seven jersey, ”Berbatov told BetFair.
