EPL: Gary Neville predicts position Man United will finish this season

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men to finish third in the Premier League table ahead of Leicester City and Chelsea this season.

Neville said this before the knockout round of the Man United Europe League against LASK on Thursday.

Man United is currently in fifth place in the Premier League table with three points behind Chelsea in fourth place and eight points behind Leicester City in third place after 29 games.

When asked if Manchester United should aim for third place ahead of Leicester City and Chelsea, Neville told Sky Sports: “Absolutely.

"Manchester United have a game against Tottenham Hotspur next week, and that is a great game because if Tottenham wins, they go to a point in United."

"Then, United has, on paper, a favorable series of matches that they should be happy about."

Man United finished sixth in the Premier League table last season and missed the 2019/20 Champions League season.

The Red Devils are still hoping to qualify for the Champions League next season if they end up ahead of Leicester City or Chelsea this season.
