Legendary Arsenal striker Thierry Henry approved of Pierre-Emerick’s goal celebration during their 3-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday.

Aubameyang, who is the captain of the current Gunners, made it 2-0 before replicating Henry’s iconic knee-slide celebration.

Henry himself watched from the VIP box inside the Emirates as Mikel Arteta’s men put on a prominent display at the North London Derby.

Emile Smith Rowe, Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka all scored before half time, before watching the match in the second half.

Aubameyang brought home the Smith Rowe cutout and eagle-eyed fans were particularly impressed that he chose to copy one of the club’s most iconic moments in celebration.

Gabon’s international knee slid in front of visiting fans, similar to Henry’s legendary celebration in a 3-0 win over the Spurs at Highbury in November 2002.

“I guess it’s the North London derby celebration!” Henry said on Sky Sports, reacting to the Aubameyang celebration.

“The day you can do it at home, away from home is a bit more complicated.”
