Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi was reported to have recovered from COVID-19 when he announced via his verified Twitter ID that he had tested negative.
Governor Fayemi, who confirmed the result of his COVID-19 test last week, his Twitter identifier, identified @ Kfayemi when he tested positive, he spent 11 days in isolation.
The governor isolated himself with some of his aides, who later confirmed that they took similar measures.
Fayemi tweeted: “After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my repeated COVID-19 test was negative.
“My sincere thanks to Almighty God, to my family, to my medical team and to all who receive us for prayers and solidarity.
“We must continue to do everything possible to deal with the pandemic,” he tweeted.
