FG restricts movement around Eagle Square

The federal government ordered the restriction of movement around the Plaza del Águila, site of the inauguration parade, from 2:00 p.m. on Friday to Tuesday.

The government, in a circular issued by Ngozi Onwudiwe, permanent secretary to the Chief of the Civil Service, said that the Federal Secretariat Complexes Phases I, II, III and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be cordoned off by security agents before the ceremony.

President-elect Bola Tinubu and his vice-president, Kashim Shettima, will be sworn in on May 29. In recent weeks, different branches of the military have been holding drills before the inauguration ceremony.
