Bikiya Graham-Douglas is brief for childless couples in “Baby Drama” and examines family and social pressures. She also gives her opinion.

In what way do you think the Baby Drama will connect with young couples, especially those with the kind of problem like your character, Esosa?

Trying to have a child in marriage is very difficult for the couple. I’ve had people very close to me who struggle with this, and it takes a toll on them and their relationships. I think the couples will connect with Baby Drama and Esosa as she tells her story. They will understand your desperation and also empathize with it. Hopefully, our society can be more supportive of families struggling with conception.

What would you say is the most interesting thing about your character?

The most interesting thing about Esosa is that it is full of surprises and it will do things you don’t see it do. She is also a very compassionate woman, not easy prey. I can relate to their qualities.

How would you say that Africa Magic is changing the narrative of Nigerian films and television?

Africa Magic is the broadest, most authentic and revered platform that tells African stories and promotes African culture. Africa Magic has contributed greatly to the development of film and television by being one of the largest employers of labor in the industry. Africa Magic is building the capacity of industry players, while also providing opportunities for African stories to be told with African voices. I can attest to how working with Africa Magic has contributed to my career growth.
