Indications emerged that Fulani herdsmen and bandits have devised new methods to infiltrate the southern part of the country.

Security sources informed the government that buses loaded with young Fulani men have been arriving at various points in the south, especially the southwest, mainly at night.

It was found that collaborators of alleged sponsors have established non-governmental organizations that are engaged in what they call “security surveillance work”.

Recall that the Ondo state government security team codenamed Amotekun evicted 42 young people from the north of the state’s Kano and Jigawa states.

The youths who were taken to the Okitipupa council area in the state in a trailer around 10 pm claimed that they came for security training at the Army Headquarters.

They confessed when they were exhibited by the Amotekun state that their arrival in the state was allegedly at the premises of an NGO called the Harmony Global Foundation.

he learned that these groups of Fulani youth were in various parts of the state for unknown reasons.

While collaborating, a legal practitioner in the state, attorney Wale Odusola raised the alarm that more than 3,000 Hausas / Fulani are currently occupying the Okitipupa army barracks in the Okitipupa council area of the state.

Odusola said this in an open letter on his personal Facebook page saying that he decided to carry out independent findings following the arrest of 42 groups of young people from the north by the Amotekun state.

According to him, “The Fulanis / Hausas who were arrested four days ago by Amotekun did not come that day, they have been coming in groups the day before that day.

The lawyer alleged that “Hausa and Fulani, numbering more than 3,000, currently occupy vacant lots at the Okitipupa Army Headquarters and have built many houses there.

He said that “behind the Army Headquarters, more than 3,000 Hausa and Fulani people are occupying the Army Headquarters land and built houses where they live.

“That the Fulani’s / Hausa’s that we saw four days ago who were arrested and transported to Akure by Amotekun, did not come that day, but came in batches the day before that day.

“That as of yesterday another group arrived and they are already in the army barracks.

“That the total number of the vehicle that brought them was 31. (One should wonder how it is that no security agency stopped them on their way)

That when they arrived in Okitipupa, they went directly to the Army Headquarters, where they are expected to remain for the reason best known to those who sent them.

“That the soldiers from the barracks refused to allow them entry. But later a signal came from above, ordering the barracks commander to allow them to enter the barracks.

“That the time it took for the Commander in Chief to receive the signal caused said Fulanis / Hausas to stay at the gate of the barracks for a long time, and this made their presence known to the people and the president of the local government and Amotekun were alerted .

“By the time the commanding officer told them to enter the barracks, the president of the local government and of Amotekun were already there to question whatever was happening there.

“The soldiers let the president interrogate the unknown persons and during the interview they said that they belong to a secure network and are sent to the barracks for training.

“The president asked them if they are soldiers and how is it possible that they are trained by soldiers when they are not security agents. (They couldn’t answer the questions)

“Apart from saying that they are members of an unknown safety net, they have no other reasonable reason to enter Okitipupa in such large numbers.

“In fact, they are around 1,000 and if they are added to the existing numbers in the Army barracks bush, we will have around 4,000 Fulani’s / Hausa’s in Okitipupa. (That’s enough to cover the entire southern senatorial district and all of southwestern Nigeria)

“The federal government of Buhari surely has a mission. As it stands, southwestern Nigeria has been surrounded. You may choose not to believe me, but I’m sure what I’m saying.

“Amotekun is not enough, we need more voluntary security groups like the Eastern Security Network (ESN). We must also be vigilant, lest we be caught off guard.

State Information and Guidance Commissioner Donald Ojogo, when contacted, said he had no details of the attorney’s presentation.

Ojogo said “Well, we are in a dangerous moment without a doubt; The stories will keep popping up. But in this particular case, I have no details. If you wish, you can contact the Amotekun corps commander for more information. “

Also, speaking about the development, the Amotekun state commander did not confirm or deny this, but said that his staff left the state capital to transfer some strange people noticed there to Amotekun’s office for questioning.

He learned that the Amotekun commander sent two trailers to transport young men from the north discovered in other parts of the state to the state capital for questioning.
