The love for Afro songs around the world is constantly increasing and songs like “PAMI”, recently created by three of the best Afro-sounding artists in Nigeria, including Blaisebeatz (real name Marcel Akunwata) is an example of what is responsible for the increase.
The main reason we can talk so much about “PAMI” and the afro sound is how Blaisebeatz did it.
It was known that ‘PAMI’ was just an instrumental made from the rhythm of good kicks and the complements of a good afro sound. Somehow, and gracefully, Wizkid heard him, loved him, and vibrated with him.
Blaisebeatz says: “We recorded the whole song. Later, Starboy Entertainment made up their minds to release a song for DJ TUNEZ and decided to diversify the wealth of content by letting Omah Lay and Adekunle Gold appear in it.
“So Wizkid mastered the whole project and released it and we thank God that listeners all over the world accepted the song and now we have turned a simple instrumental into a hit.”
Born Marcel Akunwata, a native of Anambra state who grew up in the state of Niger, Blaisebeatz is a graduate of Statistics from the Federal University of Technology in Minna.
He started out as “Larryblaise” playing instruments in church and in a live band, mainly in the northern part of Nigeria in 2004, before venturing into production in 2006, and then changed his trade name to “Blaisebeatz” a few years later.
He got into production and set up his personal studio during his college days at FUT Minna, where he won multiple awards and earned many artist production credits.
The talented music creator had existed, but was not noticed when he made Jumabee – I Miss Good Music ft Sound Sultan, Banky W, Niyola; Smooth – Imagine, Attitude – Nkechi, Spyz – bless me.
He also produced three tracks from LAX’s debut album “RASAKING” – Money; Wussup with Duncan Mighty; Slow whine from Maleek Berry, come in.
The best Nigerian songs produced by Blaisebeatz are: Dj Tunisia ft Wizkid X Omalay and Adekunle Gold-PAMI; Tekno-Suru; Skiibi-Omaema; Irene Ntale-Nyamba; Jaybreeze X Wande Coal X Tiwa Savage -Eh oh Ah; Kingperry-My Darling; Ceeza Milli-Fa already; StarboyTerri- Kill man, and Adekunle Gold- Something different.
Besides music, Blaisebeatz is also good at painting.
The upward trajectory of beat makers promises to continue in 2020 as they have already produced many songs that have yet to be released with major acts such as Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Reekado Banks, DJ Neptune, Alpha P, and others.
