Festus Keyamo has responded to Yakubu Dogara’s tweet “he is not your partner in politics”.
Mr. Keyamo, who is Minister of State for Labor and spokesman for the Congress of all progressives (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, tweeted back on Sunday to the former speaker of the House of Representatives, telling him that not everyone should be “qualified by elections won and lost.”
“Let me remind you that I have reached the top of our profession and you must learn to respect your superior at the bar!” said Mr. Keyamo, who is a senior Nigerian barrister, a prestigious title for legal professionals who have distinguished themselves in the practice of law in the country.

Messrs. Keyamo and Dogara, both lawyers, were fellows at the Nigerian Law School.
“Yes, we were partners in law school, but I’m hoping you win an alderman election first so we can be partners in politics. Learn to punch below your weight class,” Dogara had tweeted to Keyamo on Sunday after the minister called him a “political prostitute,” a “vagrant” and a “traitor” for attacking APC presidential candidate Bola. Tinubu, after President Muhammadu Buhari called on Nigerians to vote for Mr. Tinubu to give his best for the country.
Keyamo said that by downplaying his achievements in law, Dogara had “insulted millions of Nigerians in his various fields of endeavor.”
The speaker is a member of the Democratic Party of the Peoples and a powerful supporter of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
“I know that PMB loves to make jokes, but I didn’t know that I would escalate it to the level of satire. Asiwaju will give her best in Nigeria, will she? Fake certificates, fake paternity, escapes from the golden triangle, organized crime. No PMB, Nigeria doesn’t deserve the best (of Tinubu), but we understand the satire,” Dogara said at the cheep to which Mr. Keyamo reacted.
