- are facing or have recently fled immediate, serious and targeted threats to their lives and/or careers in their home countries or countries of residence;
- demonstrate superior academic achievement and promise;
- will benefit their home and/or host academic communities.
How to apply for the IIE-SRF scholarship?
Follow the steps below to avail the IIE-SRF Scholarship:
(1). Applicants may apply directly or have a third party submit application materials on their behalf. Required application materials include:
- Application cover
- Academic statement. Please provide a detailed statement detailing your educational and professional background and experience.
- Curriculum vitae or current resume.
- Personal statement. Please provide a detailed statement explaining why you are requesting support from the IIE-SRF.
- Two (2) letters of academic/professional reference from academic and/or professional colleagues who can discuss your research, publications, teaching, or other advanced academic experience.
- Two (2) personal letters of reference from colleagues or people who are aware of the difficulties you have faced, as well as your professional background. When possible, have your arbitrators write their letters on official letterhead and send them to the IIE-SRF directly at srf@iie.org.
- A copy of your Ph.D. or higher degree
- Samples of your most recent writing or research publications.
- A letter from an accredited institution of higher learning that may host your scholarship. This is not a requirement.
