The Kaduna State Pension Office has started verification of payments for two batches of retirees and deceased persons under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).
A statement issued by Professor Salamatu Isah, Executive Secretary of the Bureau on Thursday, said that the exercise began on Tuesday and will cover lots 7 and 8, adding that the exercise will last for two weeks.
The Executive Secretary warned that retirees and representatives of deceased pensioners who are “participating in the payment verification exercise must ensure that they have all the necessary documents.”
“The persons invited to the verification exercise must present a copy of the Death Certificate, in the case of deceased pensioners, and an affidavit from the relatives,” emphasized Professor Isah.
According to her, “other retirees must present valid means of identification, including voter cards, national identification cards, their employment letters, as well as letters of affirmation of retirement, death, resignation or retirement from service.”
The statement further said that pensioners are expected to submit their Personnel Sub-Directory Number (PSN), bank details containing the bank name, account number, a bank BVN verification voucher and a recent account statement, including your passport photograph and that of your relatives, before payment.
