Reno Omokri, Nigeria’s socio-political activist, accused President Muhammadu Buhari of ordering the killing of EndSARS protesters at Lekki Tollgate in Lagos state last year.

Omokri claimed that Buhari ordered the killing of the protesters “in his own interest”.

He based his claim on Buhari’s comment about the protest.

Former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, in a tweet wrote: “To prove to you that Buhari personally ordered the #LekkiMassacre of innocent, unarmed and peaceful #EndSARS protesters, just go and rewatch his AriseTV interview from June 10, 2021 , where he accused the #EndSARS protesters of wanting to “get me out.” Buhari killed them out of self-interest! “

Some young Nigerians were killed on October 20, 2020 at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos state.

Young people were protesting police brutality at the toll booth when invited soldiers shot them.

Despite reports of people killed, the Nigerian government had repeatedly denied wrongdoing at the scene, stating that no one died.

However, the Lagos State EndSARS panel released its report on Monday, describing the incident at the toll booth as a massacre.
