Just 24 hours after bloody EndSARS protests by angry youth in the market town of Onitsha, Anambra state, armed robbers began terrorizing residents of the business town even in broad daylight.

Between the latter part of Friday and the early part of yesterday, when the protests ceased, the thieves continued to operate freely, according to residents.

Protests in and around Onitsha turned bloody last week as 10 lives were reportedly lost as protesters set fire to no less than three police stations.

Meanwhile, EndSARS protesters have vowed to continue the protests until their demands are met, warning that the elderly must give way for the young to take the lead.

In reaction to the development, some lawyers in Onitsha, Sir Ben Okoko, Sir Anayo Emejue, Ejike Efobi, Maurice Efobi, Sylvester E, ze and Chukwudi Nwokediuko, pointed out that the law allows protests to express sentiment, but cautioned against violence during such acts. protests.

Okoko, Emejue, Efobi, Efobi, Eze and Nwokediuko pleaded with the Federal Government to meet the demands of the young protesters since, according to them, what young people really need is job security, good governance, police reform, security and hope for the future.
