News Central, a station entirely dedicated to African news, will officially launch on Startimes on New Years Day.

In a statement on its social media on Wednesday, Startimes said that News Central, which is a 24-hour broadcast full broadcast channel, focuses on “telling the African story and changing the narrative of the continent.”

He said that News Central will air on Channel 274 Direct to Home (DTH) and Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT).

“We are proud to announce that ‘News Central’, Africa’s first fully indigenous and truly pan-African news television brand, will launch its full 24-hour broadcast on StarTimes on Friday, January 1, 2021.”

“News Central is a television news channel totally focused on telling the African story and changing the narrative of the continent.”
