A new car transport service, Ekocab, has been launched on the Nigerian market to address unfair travel charges and provide additional jobs for Nigerians.
The company said the new Ekocab was designed to meet the needs of a diverse group of people; To help both drivers add an additional source of income, also a more reliable ride for passengers to ensure they get value for money.
The company’s chief marketing officer, Ponmile Alabi, said: “Ekocab was created to provide customers with an improved and enhanced car travel experience. Our goal is to make adequate and reliable car transportation services accessible to everyone. By doing this, we are ready to simplify payment processes, reduce travel costs, and provide a community approach to car transportation service. ”
Other goals of Ekocab are to create a positively intimate car driving experience by providing safe, transparent and honest transactions.

According to the company, the creators of the idea According to Cole and Nathan Gideon during an investigation, they realized that Nigerians are tired of unfair travel charges and unable to get on a trip as at the moment due to the increase and There is no limit for Drivers on the road.
Alabi also noted that the global pandemic, Covid-19, has affected the economy to a great extent, as some people have seen wage cuts, job losses, and the like.
She said: “Ekocab has taken the initiative to provide those people, who could be willing, by providing a platform where drivers can earn a living.
“We have partnered with financial services companies as well as car dealerships to ensure that our drivers have access to up to a two million Naira car once they join our platform as drivers and we have also partnered with the authorities to help all our drivers. with the necessary registration to guarantee that they can drive freely and under the Lagos code of conduct, ”added Alabi.
