Niger’s traditional ruler kidnapped regains freedom


The Wawa Dodo, Dr Mahmud Ahmed Aliyu from Borgu in the Borgu Local Government Area of ​​Niger State has been released.

Dr. Aliyu was abducted from his palace around 10pm last Saturday by armed men.

The armed men who arrived on motorcycles, gathered, forced their way into the palace, and took the traditional ruler to an unknown location without hurting his family members.

Confirming the release, state police public relations officer PPRO DSP Wasiu Abiodun told Newslodge that the Wawa Dodo has been released.

However, he added that details on his release are currently incomplete.
