Benue State Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Terver Akase says his director will continue to support talent search initiatives that seek to provide young people in Benue with opportunities to make their dreams come true.

Mr. Akase stated this today at Railway Quarters Makurdi during the final game of a soccer tournament organized by Dunamis International Gospel Center, Makurdi in collaboration with Lobi Stars FC Vice President, Mr. Mike Idoko.

He commended the church for organizing a successful tournament where talents had been harnessed, and emphasized that through competition, players for Lobi Stars, national and international teams would be discovered.

The Chief Press Secretary who expressed Governor Ortom’s commitment to youth and sports development.

He also donated a set of shirts to each of the teams that played the final match. He also cheered on the best player and top scorer of the tournament, as well as the goalkeepers of the winning and runner-up teams.

Faith Hills Football Club of Wadata defeated Elite Football Club, Railway Quarters by a single goal scored by Demenenge Daga to lift the trophy in the final, marking the end of the two-week competition that featured ten teams within Benue State Capital.

Joshua Igoche of Faith Hills Football Club Wadata won MVP of the tournament, while Young Lions Football Club of Makurdi came third in the tournament.

The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Terver Akase presented the trophy to Faith Hills Football Club, Wadata, winners of the tournament.
