Oxford University Invites Applications For Post-Doctoral Fellowships In Public Administration In Nigeria


St Antony’s College at the University of Oxford, UK has invited applications for the Ladipo Adamolekun Postdoctoral Fellowship.

The university recently opened the fellowship to promote excellence in public administration research in Nigeria.

He revealed this in an announcement shared with PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday.

He said the scholarship is “open to those who have obtained their PhD from a Nigerian university to prepare publications based on their thesis that should focus on the study of public administration in Nigeria.

“Applicants must have obtained their PhDs after August 1, 2020 or expect to have been awarded their PhD before March 1, 2023. (Successful candidate must have completed their PhDs at the time they take their fellowship) .

“It is open to those who are pursuing both academic and non-academic careers.

“The Postdoctoral Fellow will spend 8-10 weeks in the spring term (mid-January to mid-March) in 2024 at St Antony’s College, Oxford University.

“The award will allow the fellow to present and discuss their research, interact with the university’s Area Study Centers, exchange ideas, and participate and contribute to the rich diversity of St Antony’s academic and social community.

“The Postdoctoral Fellowship covers international travel, accommodation and living costs and provides full access to the University and College libraries and other research facilities.

“The fellow will be matched with a mentor to ensure they can make the most of their time at Oxford.


“The postdoctoral fellow will be selected in the spring of 2023 to fill his position in the spring of 2024.

“Applications must include a cover letter, a resume (not to exceed two pages), a doctoral dissertation summary (not to exceed two pages), and the names and contact details of two referees, at least one of which must be an academic referee.

“Shortlisted applicants will later be invited to submit samples of their work.

“Applications should be sent (by email only) to warden@sant.ox.ac.uk. The deadline for applications is Monday 20 February 2023 at 23:59 (UK time).
