Some unidentified thugs in Lagos on Saturday chased voters away from the polling stations, while trying to steal the ballot boxes.
A Nigerian News Agency (NAN) correspondent, who was at Voting Unit 13, Ward F3, Ago Palace Way, Lagos, witnessed the thugs suddenly start driving away voters with the aim of robbing the polls.
People ran for safety as the thugs continued to throw chairs and spray them with some chemicals.
NAN reports that the incident was ongoing when police officers sprang into action and arrested one of the thugs while the others fled.

However, voting resumed when police officers restored normalcy.
