Police investigate the killing of a corps member in Abuja


Homicide detectives at Police Command Headquarters, Garki, Abuja have launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of female corps member, Stephanie Se-ember Terungwa Edward Achado.

Stephanie was declared missing on April 14, 2022 in Abuja, but was later found dead.

Her body was found on Wednesday still dressed in her NYSC uniform, nearly two weeks after she disappeared from the Lokogoma area of ​​the FCT.

FCT police spokeswoman Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Josephine Adeh told Newslodge that the command has brought together the best hands to uncover the mystery behind her murder.

According to her: “We have started an investigation into the murder and very soon, we will call them to know the result.”

Her family had declared her missing, in a notice shared on social media.

It was said that he left home in his NYSC uniform to participate in the community development program, but never returned.

Stephanie hails from Benue State. She studied Microbiology.

The Corps of the National Youth Service has reacted to the discovery of the body.

In a statement issued Wednesday night, NYSC Press and Public Relations Director Eddy Megwa reported how Stephanie’s body was found dressed in NYSC khaki pants.

Body attention has focused on the body, which is said to have been discovered in Maitama, Abuja, following social media posts.

“The remains were later confirmed to be those of a missing Corps member, Stephanie Se-Ember Terungwa, state code number FC/21B/5807. She was married to Terungwa Edward Achado,” the Corps said.
