The Zamfara Police Command has banned the unauthorized use of sirens, rotating lights, tinted windows, unregistered license plate numbers, silverware, and spies.

This is contained in a statement released in Gusau on Monday by the command’s police public relations officer, SP Muhammad Shehu.

“The command wishes to warn that the illegal and unauthorized use of sirens, rotating lights, tinted, unregistered glass, cutlery and spy plates is prohibited with immediate effect in Zamfara.

“The Police Commissioner, CP Abutu Yaro, has ordered all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Police Tactical Units to ensure full compliance, as well as to embark on the arrest of violators of this order” , said.

The police commissioner also ordered the full application of other traffic regulations.

He warned that any person or group arrested in violation of this order would face the full wrath of the law.

“This, according to the PC, will serve as a deterrent for others,” the statement said.

The PC urged members of the public to remain law-abiding citizens and also to cooperate with the police and other security agencies in an effort to rid the state of all forms of criminal activity. YAYA
