The Publicity secretary of the Congress of All Progressives in Rivers State, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, resigned from his role as party spokesperson.
Nwuke, in a personally signed letter sent to the party leadership in the state, said that his decision to leave office was “strictly personal.”
In the letter dated September 19, 2021 and made available to the press, Nwuke said that his assignment as party spokesperson had ended.
“We believe that our assignment here has been fulfilled. We arrived at a time of great internal conflict when there was a great need to connect effectively with the many audiences of the party.
“Everything that has a beginning has an end. It’s time to move on and focus on other things of great interest, ”the letter reads in part.
Nwuke also thanked the APC statutory members for the trust they placed in him to serve the party in that capacity.
He added, “As we await our Creator and what the future holds, we did everything in our power to fulfill the mandate given to us.”
