Rosemary benefits for women’s health: Rosemary is an herb native to the Mediterranean, but it is common in many parts of the world.

It is a member of the mint family. Lamiaceae, along with many other herbs, such as oregano, thyme, basil, and lavender.

It is often used for culinary purposes, but it is also widely used for aromatherapy and medicinal uses.

Here are Some Rosemary Benefits for Women’s Health

1. Antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds

Rosemary contains compounds that can have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Rosemary’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity is largely attributed to its polyphenolic compounds such as rosmarinic acid and carnosic acid.

Compounds in rosemary tea may also have antimicrobial properties, which can help fight infection.

2. Improves memory and mood

One study found that the scent of rosemary can improve a person’s concentration, performance, speed, and precision and, to a lesser extent, their mood.

Rosemary is helpful in reducing the pain of dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation). Research shows that it is also likely safe to use in conjunction with pharmaceutical pain relievers.

4. Treat digestive problems

Rosemary is often used for stomach problems like gas and indigestion, while promoting a healthy balance of gut bacteria and reducing inflammation.

Several studies suggest that rosemary extract can prevent cancer cells from replicating, thereby stopping the growth of tumors. One study found that rosemary (alone and with curcumin) helped prevent breast cancer.

Some preliminary research shows that taking a product that contains rosemary, hops, and oleanolic acid can reduce pain associated with arthritis.

The nutrients in rosemary help protect skin cells from damage often caused by the sun and free radicals.

9. Supports brain health

Some test tube and animal studies have found that compounds in rosemary can protect the health of your brain by preventing brain cell death.
