… Says ADC gets 3 commissioner positions

The Oyo state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) warned former lawmaker Senator Olufemi Lanlehin against blackmailing Governor Seyi Makinde to win the political sympathy of the masses.
The party made it known in a statement signed by its state Advertising secretary, Eng. Akeem Olatunji, and it was made available to journalists on Sunday.
The party explained that two fundamental characteristics of the government led by Seyi Makinde are integrity and determined leadership that has seeped into all facets of life and the rapid development of the state.
According to the statement, Governor Makinde has fulfilled his obligation to the coalition pact in the spirit of truth that includes the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The ruling party noted that Makinde’s obligation to the coalition should not be confused with an agreement with Senator Lanlehin as an individual, but with ADC as a political party in the coalition.
The party added that there were other notable leaders in ADC at the time the coalition pact was formed, including Chief Michael Koleosho, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, former Deputy Governor of Oyo, and Nigerian Ambassador Dr. Taofeek Arapaja, the former SSG of Oyo, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo. and other leaders.
The statement further revealed that Lanlehin’s continued bitterness and political miscalculation could in no way be attributed to Governor Makinde, emphasizing that the governor is a PDP of PDP and the only thing he shares in common with ADC was the agreement.
The statement wondered why Lanlehin would expect Makinde to be interested or involved in ADC events that led to Lanlehin’s miscalculation and eventual political loss.
The statement read in part: “The Oyo State PDP is dismayed by Senator Olufemi Lanlehin’s statement about Governor Makinde in his council to the people of Ondo State on his upcoming gubernatorial election, where Senator Lanlehin continued to express his frustration policy on Governor Makinde, who has a good reputation for honesty, integrity and determined leadership. “
“Lanlehin, at his level in politics, should know better and understand that politics is a game of intrigue and calculation, so if his miscalculation has cost him relevance at ADC and has led to an eventual migration back to a party that he left more than six years ago, how is that? Is Governor Makinde doing?
“Senator Lanlehin, as well as other notable ADC leaders on behalf of his various supporters and followers, entered the coalition pact and no less than 3 people, that is, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun as Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism , Hon Adeniyi Adebisi as Commerce Commissioner and Lawyer Seun Ashamu as Energy Commissioner, from the extraction of ADC, are all commissioners in the current government “
Other ADC senior appointments by Governor Makinde include Chairman of the Oyo State Assembly House Service Commission, Rt Hon Wasiu Musah, Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, Chief Bayo Lawal, special advisor to the governor on local government affairs and headquarters. Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, Special Advisor to the Governor of Culture and Tourism, Hon Akeem Ige ”.
“We like to emphasize that there is no amount of blackmail that can downplay Governor Makinde’s growing reputation as a man of his words who daily provides determined leadership inside and outside of government to the admiration of the good people of Oyo State.” .
“It is to be believed that Governor Makinde’s great reputation transcends the shores of Oyo State and runs through the entire Southwest region and Nigeria as a whole, which was evident in the landslide victory in Edo State where the Governor joined to his colleagues to meet the oil-rich state for the PDP. “
“Governor Makinde’s reputation has continued to generate tremendous trust in the minds of the good people of Ondo State, which has been evident in the clamor for PDP attorney Eyitayo Jegede to take the reins of leadership as the state’s incoming governor. of the sun”.
Nigerian politics has passed the era of using false propaganda and cheap blackmail to gain political sympathy, we urge Senator Lanlehin to focus his energy on rebuilding his dwindling political relevance rather than attributing his political disgrace to a reputed high-ranking governor for their dignity and personal integrity. “
