Kalu Okechukwu Frank, an Australian-based member of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Movement for Upgrading the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has expressed dissatisfaction with the killing of members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra by from security agencies. .

The incident, which resulted in the deaths of some IPOB members, was said to have occurred while they were at a prayer meeting in the Emene area of Enugu state.

In condemning the killings, Frank said it was wrong for security officers to open fire on unarmed civilians.

He said: “The continued killings of innocent and non-violent Biafrans are totally unacceptable. This has strengthened my search for the sovereign state of Biafra. The federal government needs to call a referendum because the people of Biafra do not want to be in Nigeria, where we are marginalized and killed on a daily basis. IPOB is the last hope of every Biafra that will lead us to the promised land. No progressive country thrives on double standards and injustice. We completely reject the killing of Igbo people, regardless of the pretext or disguise in which it occurs.

“We therefore call on the Federal Government to quickly establish a judicial investigation panel to determine the causes of the massacre in Enugu, and we urge both pro-Biafra agitators and security agencies to apply restraint, courtesy, professionalism and respect for human lives in all its activities. I feel sorry for all the families who lost their loved ones in the last bloodshed ”.

Frank urged all governors in the Southeast to urgently develop a formidable regional security team capable of dealing with evolving security scenarios.
