Students from the Osun State College of Education (OSSCE), Ila Orangun, broke into the school’s entrance Thursday morning, protesting the suspension of lecture activities at the institution.
Professors at the institution, DAILY POST learned, began the strike on Monday, a week after the start of the second semester.

The students said they were concerned about the strike; after spending about four months at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the president of the institution’s student union, Olarewaju Tajudeen, it has become a custom of the university to strike whenever the school prepares for an exam.
The leader of the student union called the management of the faculty to quickly meet the demand of the teachers to start working.
