Terrorists release another video of kidnapped passengers

The gunmen who kidnapped passengers on a Kaduna-bound train have released another video of the kidnappers.

In the recent photo, the hostages pleaded with Nigerian authorities to rescue them.

This is the fourth time that the bandits have published graphic or video evidence that the hostages are alive.

PREMIUM TIMES reported how bandits placed explosives on the railway tracks and immobilized the train around the Katari and Rijana axis on March 28.

At least nine people were killed in the attack and several more were injured.

The Nigerian government said it was doing everything it could to rescue the kidnapped passengers, but 56 days later the gunmen only released the Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Hassan and a pregnant woman.

In the 2 minute 39 second video, six of the captives, three men and three women, are shown sitting and kneeling in a taurpalin with an armed man standing behind them ordering them to come forward and speak.

One of the hostages said: “My name is Mohammed Dayyabu. We are among those kidnapped when the train to Kaduna was attacked. We call on the Federal Government, kaduna state government, non-governmental organizations and international human rights organizations that please accept the conditions set by these people who captured us so that we all return to our families. Thank you.”

The second person said: “Peace to all of you. My name is Malam Hassan Sule. I am one of the abductees in the Kaduna train attack. Please, we want you to listen to these people so they can free us.”

A Pakistani citizen working in Nigeria was among those kidnapped.

“My name is Abu Zain Mohammed, I am working here in Nigeria, but I am a foreign citizen, Pakistani. We were kidnapped from the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28. We are here; 62 in number. Conditions are not very good. So, we are appealing to the Nigerian government; the government of Pakistan and the international community to help us,” he said.

The women also spoke along the same lines, calling on the government to accept the conditions established by the bandits.
