: The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has captured the notorious bandit leader, Bello Galaduma. The 40-year-old criminal was arrested in Sokoto state.
According to DCC Olusola Odumosu, Director of Public Relations for NSCDC, Galaduma had been on the agency’s wanted list for more than two years.
In a statement on July 28, 2021, the spokesperson said that Galaduma contacted other criminals providing them with information about the people who were to be abducted. He also served as their supplier for drugs and other items that they used for nefarious activities.
Intelligence showed that Galaduma previously operated in the state of Niger before moving to Sokoto, where he was detained.
Odumosu said that the State Command “besieged the Aliyu Jodi area where Galaduma went to buy drugs and also to satisfy his sex drive.”
The criminal is being questioned for information that would lead to the arrest of his colleagues, the NSCDC added.
