Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stated that Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the Congress of All Progressives, APC, laid the foundation for the party’s success in the state.

Sanwo-Olu said the legacy of good governance established by Tinubu has laid the foundation for APC’s successes.

He spoke while swearing in the 57 newly elected council chairs, comprising 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas, LCDA, in the state, on Tuesday, in Ikeja.

The presidents were elected in last Saturday’s statewide council elections.

However, the governor urged the newly elected presidents and their vice president to ensure that the people of the state enjoy the dividends of democracy.

According to Sanwo-Olu: “The swearing-in formality, which we have just witnessed, has officially concluded the transition of powers of the former Presidents and Vice-Presidents whose mandate has just expired.

“A special thanks also to our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose unwavering dedication to the APC narrative continues to make a difference.

“The legacy of good government that he established as the first governor of the state in the Fourth Republic is what has laid the foundations for the continued success of the party in the state.”
