Bola Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos, returned to Nigeria on Tuesday amid rumors of his death.
The national leader of the Congress of All Progressives (APC) was reportedly in France for medical care.
It is said that the only senator who was battling the ailments associated with old age. On March 29 he turned 69 years old.
Tinubu was notably absent when President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the Lagos-Ibadan standard caliber last Thursday.
The politician has traveled out of the country at least three times in the last year.
Tinubu is believed to be interested in running for president in 2023. His loyalists have begun a subtle campaign and mobilization.
They are expected to run full blast from early 2022 once Borgu’s Jagaban declares its intention.
