Akure: Two people suffered gunshot wounds in Akure, the Ondo state capital, when political thugs clashed before the state gubernatorial election on Saturday.
Sporadic gunfire ripped through the air at Obanla Junction in the metropolis of Akure as thugs broke loose Saturday night.
An eyewitness alleged that the confrontation was between supporters of the Popular Democratic Party, PDP, and the Congress of All Progressives, APC.
