Veteran actor Baba Feyikogbon dies at 80


Popular 1980s Sunday Akinola Nigerian actor Baba Feyikogbon has died.

The veteran actor passed away on Monday. He was 80 years old.

Sulaimon Aremu, a singer and poet popularly known as Ajobiewe, announced the actor’s death in an Instagram post.

The aging statesman and actor rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s with his popular weekly sitcom series Feyikogbon.

The series aired on NTA Channel 7 Lakes for over 13 years.

Although the cause of death was not disclosed, Akinola, born on September 19, 1942, suffered from kidney failure for years and sought help from the public in 2019.
