On February 4, 2002, they welcomed their first child, a son they called Zaire, while they were in their sophomore year of high school. The wedding took place on May 18th, 2002, and the couple exchanged their vows. Zion Malachi Airimis Wade was the couple’s second child and was born on May 29, 2007, making the pair a family of four.

Wade filed for divorce just a few months after the birth of their second child, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for his decision. This resulted in a drawn-out legal dispute that ultimately took a lot of time to resolve.

The judge ruled that Dwyane’s ex-wife is entitled to visitation rights with their child. In 2013, as part of the divorce settlement, Siohvaughn was awarded the sum of $5 million. In addition to this, Dwyane provided her with $25,000 every month and paid her mortgage along with any other necessary upkeep expenses. Following the delivery of the $5 million, she organized a demonstration across the streets of Chicago. She was holding a sign that stated “NBA Miami Heat star, mother of his children living on the streets,”.

After the divorce, Siohvaughn Funches-Wade retained ownership of the mansion in South Holland that had once functioned as the family residence. In addition to that, she kept all four of their cars. The home features a swimming pool, a basketball court, a breakfast room, and six separate bedrooms. It encompasses a total area of 7,800 square feet.
