The management of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has assured customers within its franchise area a constant power supply during the Christmas season.
In pursuit of this, a special rapid response team has been created to reinforce and strengthen the existing structure to enable them to respond quickly to customer complaints.
Oyebode Fadipe, GM Corporate Communications, AEDC said yesterday in a statement that the company recognizes the fact that as composite demand during the holiday season, electricity consumption is expected to increase during the holiday season, so it has established a response fast. team.
“We recognize the fact that demand for electricity always increases during the holiday season just as customers have zero tolerance for outages as usual. That is why we have created a special rapid response team that will respond quickly to complaints to clear up any reported failures. “
While wishing customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, AEDC urged them to strictly adhere to the safety protocols associated with the use of electricity and to resist the temptation to resort to illegal use of electricity.
According to AEDC, the payment of electricity by customers is as fundamental to the survival of the Company as the safe use of the merchandise by customers.
“Just as we are committed to an uninterrupted power supply, customers must also be committed to the tradition of paying for the electricity they consume, as this is a critical determinant of survival for the industry.
However, AEDC will not hesitate to disconnect customers who do not pay their electricity bill accurately and in a timely manner ”.
On the subject of national mass measurement, AEDC said in the statement that the program is progressing steadily within its franchise.
The Company reiterated its willingness to measure all customers who currently do not have a meter or whose meters are malfunctioning within their franchise area.
