The popular social socio and Lagos businessman, Emeka Okonkwo, better known as electronic money, was released Tuesday night after interrogation hours by the agents of the Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) about the alleged abuse of the Nigerian currency and the disfiguration of foreign notes.

E-Money was arrested Monday night in his residence in the Omole area of ​​Lagos and subsequently transported to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja.

According to agency sources, the arrest was derived from the accusations that American dollars publicly sprayed in a way that contravenes the currency law.

An EFCC official, who spoke anonymously, confirmed the development: “On Monday night, we arrested e-value for abuse of Naira and disfiguring foreign currencies. Specifically, it was alleged that it sprayed US dollars, which faces the law of currency exchange. Preliminary investigations are ongoing, and will be in charge of the court investigations “.

After his release, E-Money led Instagram to express gratitude to his followers. In a video posted in his verified mango, @iam_emoney1, he appeared at his home with a song of the Gospel in the background and wrote: “Without tension, everywhere well. I see all your love and support. God bless you all.”

His nearby associate and partner Socialité, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as the chief of Cuban priest, also celebrated the launch on his Instagram page, writing: “My brother Don falls. God is the glory.”
