Oloworay Autos CEO Raymond Oladugba has revealed plans for accident victims. Having been involved in an accident a few months ago, the business mogul has decided to establish a non-governmental organization that will help victims of road accidents in Nigeria.
According to him, “an NGO is being created and we are in talks with all the necessary agencies that are being created to attend to the needs of the victims of accidents left on the road.
Most victims are left on the road without any assistance from bystanders, all in the name of avoiding false accusations and unnecessary lawsuits from hospitals before the victims are treated.
You see victims lying on the ground for hours waiting for an agency to arrive and take them to the hospital, and victims end up dying on the road while they wait. You see victims being turned away by the hospital claiming they are waiting for police reports that are wrong.
This completely breaks me. Well, let me tell you that some of the goals of the NGO are to provide aid to traffic accident victims, help to get immediate care from hospitals, which will increase the victims’ chances of survival, and most importantly, raise awareness. on the actions to take in victims of traffic accidents, on the ground.
I intend to use the NGO to raise awareness about the exact actions and processes that must be taken in place for accident victims prior to the arrival of any agency.
